This has been a busy and momentous week for the Hamilton Family. We’ve been hiking to one of my favorite local places ever, and we placed a letterbox there with the kids. They enjoyed the area, too, which makes me happy, because I’d hate to have a spot so special to me sullied by the kids being miserable.

We also found a really neat spot in town that I never knew existed, and it’s OLD. I’m sure that the real partiers who were teenagers here knew about it, because it’s that kind of a place, but it’s the perfect place for people who love everything about trains. So we put a letterbox there, too, hopefully well-concealed enough.

Also, Mercedes chose the very first day of spring, during a full moon, to start her first period. My little girl isn’t a little girl anymore. *sniff* We spent Thursday getting everything she needs – I let her pick out her own pads, we got her some of those nice “feminine wipes,” which I wish they’d had when I first had to deal with all that crap, a bottle of Pamprin, and a special purse to keep all of her necessities with her when she’s not at home. We went out for lunch at Wendy’s so she could get one of those shakes with the Oreos in them, and then we picked up some sushi for a snack for later on.
“Thanks for spoiling me, Mom,” she said, smiling at me.
*SNIFF*

Awww :’) Is it weird that I got a little teary eyed reading that? Whether she follows the beliefs or not, that’s a pretty powerful time to start!
I miss you like crazy :X Yes, my back still sucks ass, but eh…I’m trying to pretend I don’t notice
God, what the hell is up with all these smilies I’m using?! :/
